KEB is registered with the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Department for Health and Human Services for the establishment and listing for human cells, tissues, and cellular and tissue-based products. This registration allows for the following functions for the procurement of eye tissue: recover, screen, test, package, process, store, label, and distribute.

KEB has met the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) requirements for standards and accreditation and, as such, is accredited for the following eye bank functions: recovery, processing, tissue storage, final distribution, tissue evaluation, and donor eligibility determination.

State of California Tissue Bank License
KEB has been issued a Tissue Bank License in accordance with the Public Health and Safety Code by the State of California Department of Public Health to engage in the operation of a tissue bank.
